Anne Snyder

Anne Snyder is determined to make the world a better place through the lost art of building character and encourages us to join her mission. Snyder is actively involved in the philanthropic community as the Director of The Character Initiative at The Philanthropy Roundtable, a pilot program for America’s leading network of charitable donors working to strengthen our free society, uphold donor intent and protect the freedom to give. The members of The Roundtable include individual philanthropists, families and private foundations, and Snyder’s main objective is to help foundations advance “character formation” through their giving. Snyder is also a Fellow at The Center for Opportunity Urbanism, a Houston-based think-tank that explores how cities can drive opportunity and social mobility for their citizens. Snyder has an impressive writing history, publishing in numerous periodicals including but not limited to: the Washington Post, the Atlantic Monthly and Philanthropy Magazine. Her first book, The Fabric of Character: A Wise Giver’s Guide to Renewing our Social and Moral Landscape was just released in March 2019.
