Deepa Thomasgrew up in New Delhi and graduated from Delhi University with degrees in journalism and political science. She moved to the U.S. and in 1985 founded Deepa Textiles. An inspirational story, her company has been credited with transforming the $10 billion a year contract furniture industry.
