Kori Schake

Kori Schake is a Senior Fellow and the Director of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute. Her areas of study include national security strategy, NATO, Alliances & U.S. led International Order. Her expertise was honed as Deputy Director-General of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Security Council at the White House. She is the author of five books including Safe Passage: The Transition from British to American Hegemony, which offers insightful lessons to guide policy as the United States faces its own challengers to the international order it has enforced since the 1940s. Ms. Schake has taught at Stanford University, West Point, Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, National Defense University and the University of Maryland. She is frequently published in policy journals and The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Foreign Affairs.
