Former technology exec turned purpose-driven farmer, using innovation and business expertise to support community-driven farming and strengthen local food systems.
Former technology executive Shalie Jonker pivoted from a successful career in Silicon Valley to co-found and co-own Noble Goat Farm, a thriving, no-till, no-spray working produce farm located at the base of Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg.
Jonker exemplifies a new generation of purpose-driven farmers, using innovation and business expertise to support community-driven farming and strengthen local food systems. Jonker also serves as Board Chair of the Healdsburg Certified Farmers’ Market, guiding its growth and expanding its community partnerships.
Prior to farming, Jonker held leadership roles at Google and Box. At Google, she played an integral role in the explosive growth of Google Maps, overseeing marketing, customer experience, online growth, and business analytics. Later, at Box—a cloud content management company—she served as senior director of customer success and global renewals.
She holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she focused on entrepreneurship and sustainable business.
